However, one of the airport workers' unions said it continued to oppose the sale and that if the government pressed on, workers might relaunch labour action.
"The APV's behaviour threatens the agreement reached on September 11, 2005 with the strike committee and therefore raises the risk of another demonstration," the airport's RMGSZ union said in a statement.
The government said it had held over 60 hours worth of consultation with workers but that their demands were so unrealistic that a compromise was not possible.
The APV is planning to sell a 75 percent stake minus one share in Budapest Airport, the operator of Hungary's biggest international airport.
